"The Same and the Other" Published with Poets.org for December 3rd, 2019, Poem-a-Day

Before coffee, before rolling out of bed, the first thing I do each morning is reach for my glasses and my phone to read the Poem-a-Day poem from Poets.org. It’s a habit I committed to years ago, so that I would always have a poem in my mind before the rest of the day floods in.

On December 3rd, 2019, the Poem-a-Day poem was my own poem, “The Same and the Other,” and I’m absolutely giddy! Read the poem HERE!

Thank you, Paisley Rekdal, December 2019’s Poem-a-Day curator, for soliciting and selecting this poem, thank you, Nadra Mabrouk, who worked very hard to make the poem’s formatting work, and thank you, Poets.org, for all the poems and poets you’ve brought into my life over the years, first thing, without fail, every morning.

If you haven’t treated yourself to Poets.org Poem-a-Day, do it. Do it do it.
